Get to Know your Counselor
My name is Christine Evans, and I am a new graduate waiting upon my associate number, working towards my Licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have experience and enjoy working within trauma-informed care, whether that's prevention within pediatrics or processing for adults. I work closely with children, men, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals who've experienced trauma.
Anyone seeking services does not need a diagnosis to receive support. Clients seek out therapy because they are experiencing distress or difficulty in their daily living. I believe our behaviors and cognitions stem from our past and are influenced by our internal and external narratives and innate stress responses.
In my practice, I use Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies, Narrative and Psychodynamic theories, and Art Therapy. My goal is to receive my EMDR certification to assist in reprocessing trauma, informing clients, and reestablishing a mind-body connection. I am honored to support you in your mental health journey to living a fulfilled life.
